Winterfest

Come and celebrate the joys of winter in Seeley Lake. Beginning with events sponsored by the chamber, on the first weekend of the festival, and other organizations the next weekend, the end of January offers many opportunities to play in the snow. Activities both indoors and out are available for your pleasure and entertainment. The torchlight parade kicks off this event (everyone is welcome to walk), followed by an old fashioned bonfire made up of Christmas trees. Other events often include, a poker run, biathlon, Dessertfest (an evening of entertainment and an auction for adults), snow sculpting, skating party and the second weekend, cross country ski races. Along with all this fun, there are our traditional winter activities of snowmobiling, fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, bird watching and more

4th of July

Stars and Stripes, Old Glory, Grand Old Flag, Pyrotechnics, God Bless America, Star Spangle Banner and America the Beautiful. The Seeley-Swan Valley takes the 4th of July and patriotism very seriously. We celebrate on the 4th of July no matter the day of the week with time-honored pancake breakfasts, parades and fireworks. With the extra vendors and people in the area enjoying our traditional summer pursuits of water activities (swimming, boating, fishing) hiking, camping, bird watching, riding and biking the whole area has a feeling of exhilaration, joy and more

Tamarack Festival

Autumn is the treasured time of the year when we revel in the last warmth of the sun as the leaves of the trees and shrubs turn to gold in preparation for the winter to come. The Seeley Swan Valley is noted for its Western Larch trees, commonly known as Tamaracks. One of the only deciduous coniferous species (needle bearing trees) whose needles turn golden and fall from the tree. To commemorate this cherished time of the turning of the trees, we hold the Tamarack Festival with a wide variety of activities. Tour Pyramid Mountain Lumber mill, enjoy the morning air with the fun run, Tour the Arts, wander downtown taking advantage of artisans and local retailers alike showing off their wares and more

Home for the Holidays

Lightly falling snow, the lights and decorations of the Holidays are a welcoming back drop for the enticing sights and smells encountered within the retail shops of downtown Seeley Lake. This day of old fashioned shopping as an activity rather than a chore, of meandering, taking time to sample and visit, returns us to the gentler, bygone time we crave from our past. Enhance the experience by taking time to ice skate, take a sleigh ride, enjoy the quiet of snowshoeing and more
