Area Events: As a year round community, you will find events for each season. Spring brings a partnership between the artisans and the forest service spotlighting our wildlife with the Loon and Fish Festival. Summer focuses on the 4th of July, Quilt Festival, and a Triathlon. The fall colors are celebrated by the Tamarack Festival. Winter brings us all together to celebrate Winterfest and all the activities.  Come celebrate with us!

Arts and Culture: The Crown of the Continent, Cultural Corridor, provides an opportunity to experience art at its roots, uniquely Montana, by visiting artists in their studio, or their creations at the galleries.  Come see our talented artists!

Camping: Seeley Lake has unlimited basic camping within the geographic area both within Federal and State campgrounds. Full service hookups are limited. Come sleep outdoors with us!

Competitive Sports: Growing interest in competitive sports is reflected in the varied offerings throughout the year. Participants of all ages will find an event suited for their interest. Let us tempt you to enter or be a spectator at one of the following: golf tournaments, snocross, triathlon, fishing derbies, cross country ski racing, sled dog racing, biathlon, snow sculpting, 1/2 marathon, and more.  Come play with us!

Fishing: The Blackfoot-Clearwater water shed is home to some of the most spectacular fishing opportunities in the world. Lakes, steams and rivers, there is a place for everyone to participate, from bridges to shores, easily accessible to the more remote. Licenses are available for varying seasons and shorter stays. Come fish with us!

Health and Relaxation: Whether your vision of relaxation is a day at the spa or a glass of fine wine in front of the fire, come and visit our businesses that cater to your mood. Taking a break from a day of activities will refresh the inner you.  Stay and relax with us!

Horse Activities: If you have ever dreamed of being on horseback, you should try our interpretive trail rides. Visitors will find many opportunities for scenic vistas and wildlife around every bend. If you prefer, there are horse drawn adventures as well. Gliding over the snow under the stars or across the meadows, there is a memory for everyone.  Come ride with us!

Mountain Biking and Cycling: From the middle of town to the top of the ridge there is a trail map to guide you. Bring your own or rent locally, this growing sport is for the novice to the experienced. Our trails are as flat or can be as steep and challenging as the group desires. Come bike with us!

Shooting Sports: Have you always wanted to try a new skill? Choosing a sport from the heritage of our country, is a rewarding activity. The Wilderness Sportsman’s Club offers opportunities to learn to shoot, or hone your skill through their membership. Or as part of our winter festival, Winterfest, try your hand at being a biathlete.   The culture of the area includes all forms of hunting. Whether you choose to find your own way, or to use the services of an outfitter, there is room for all. Licences are available for varying seasons. Come have fun with a gun with us!

Shopping: Seeley Lake is a full service community, with businesses catering to all your needs, whether you’re looking for recreational or necessities, no two stores alike. Shop the main streets or search out the hidden treasurers of the area. The outlying communities of Ovando and Condon are close enough to share the services of Seeley Lake. Come shop with us!

Snowmobiling: With over 350 miles of groomed trails and the ability to ride from town to the mountains, this full service community has the riding you are looking for. Bring your own sled, rent from town or buy a new one, hire a guide, we can assist you in all your needs. Unlicensed drivers must have a safety class. Come snowmobile with us!

Snow Sports: Snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sled dog running, skijoring, all are welcome to share in the groomed snowmobile trail system throughout the valley. The Nodic Ski Trails, located NE of town, and groomed by the Seeley Lake Ski Club are open to all skiiers and snowshoers. Ice fishing (with the appropriate license) is readily available on the lakes.  Come ski with us!

Water Sports: The Chain of Lakes in the Seeley Swan Valley offers many forms of water recreation. Be it fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming or more, there is a place for this activity. Some lakes are limited in their use to non-motorized crafts, but the larger lakes do have boat launches, designated swimming areas and ajacent campgrounds. Montana boating and fishing regulations apply. Come make a splash with us!
